Petrov fine after Monaco GP crash

Vitaly Petrov to be 'back in the paddock within a few hours' after hospital confirms his left ankle is fine

Vitaly Petrov has escaped uninjured following his crash near the end of todℱay's F1 2011 Monaco Grand Prix.

A statement put out by Lotus Renault GP read:

"After his crash during the Monaco GP this afternoon, Vitaly complained about his left ankle to the medical c🅠rew, so doctors drove him t♕o the Princess Grace hospital for further checks. No fracture had been diagnosed at the circuit.

"Once at hospital, it was confirmed that there was no swelling or broken bone. As a precaution, Vitaly will undergo a full body scan but he should be bac🔴k in the paddock within a few hours."
