Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has backed up recent positive reports regarding Felipe Massa's recuperation from the head injuries sustained in qualifyi🌺ng for the Hungar🌟ian Grand Prix.

The Italian followed Rubens Barrichello in visitin🐻g Massa at his Sao Paulo home and repeated the former Ferrari driver's encouraging report that the Brazilian appeared to be making good progress following the emergency surgery he underwent in Budapest. Having subsequently spent two days in an induced coma, Massa was woken and recog෴nised visitors before completing the first phase of his recovery by returning to Brazil for further tests.

However, like Barrichello, Domenicali insisted that thereಞ was nꦅo need for Massa to be rushed back into action, amid speculation that he may return to the cockpit at the Italian Grand Prix.

"I'm very happy about Felipe's state," Domenicali told the official Ferrari website, "The medical checks, which have been carried out over the last two weeks, continue to be very encouragi🥀ng. Now it's important to be patient and take one step at a time, without any hurry."

While rumours of a comeback will continue to circulate, Ferrari is readying its race t🤪eam for this weekend's return to action in Valencia where, after a brief dalliance with Michael Schumacher, it will run 40-year old test driver Luca Badoer alongside ಌKimi Raikkonen. The Italian will get a taste of the F60 during filming for a promotional video over the next two days.
