Ogier taking nothing for granted in Jordan.
Despite his whirlwind start to t🦋he 2008 Junior World Rally Championship, 🐬Sebastien Ogier insists that he is not setting his sights any further than his next outing, in Jordan, this weekend.
The French youngster꧒ claimed victory first time out in Mexico - and was promoted to a full WRC poin🀅t by a post-event disqualification ahead of him - but is adamant that he will not be heading to the Middle East expecting a repeat of that success at the wheel of the FFSA Citro?n.

"We were delighted to have made such an ideal start to the season but, of course, the fact that we won the opening round doesn't mean that the Junior World Championship is ours for the taking," he reasoned, "There's still a long way to 📖go."
Such a level-headed approach i♓s reflected in Ogier's initial ambition for the latest addition to the calendar, despit🅰e the fact that few contenders in the field have had previous experience of competing in the unique surroundings of Amman.
"I feel exactly the same as whe💞n we took part in the Rally Mexic𒁏o - our main aim is to see the finish," he insisted, "If we're as much at home there as we were in Leon, then we'll try to score another good result.
"One thing's certain, as it's a new event in the world championship, we'll all start on a level playing field. I🉐 don't know much more about Jordan than I did about Mexico, but I believe that the surface is very hard, and that the roads are quick as the terrain is pretty similar to asphalt. Whatever the case, the Citro?n C2 Super 1600's engine/chassis combination is so well balanced that it'll be on the pace whatever the set-up."
Ogier also admits that he heads to Jordan without giving♎ much consideration to who he will be competing against, knowing that he will have to𝓀 be on his game to beat anyone in the competitive JWRC class.
"I haven't spent much time looking at the Junior WRC entry list," he insisted, "All I saw was that Martin Prokop wasn't on it. T⭕hat means one tough rival less, but there are💫 still quite a few left."
