Kurt Busch's crew-chief Roy McCaul🥂ey will miss this weekend's race at the Phoenix International Raceway after surgery to alleviate chest pains earlier this we🧸ek.

The 36 year-old first year Nextel 🐽Cup crew chief has been ordered to sit out Saturday night's Subway Fresh 500 after experiencing chest pains on Monday and undergoing surgery on Tuesday to treat a small blockage.

"ꦜThe procedure was 100 percent effective in alleviating the problem, but my doctor advised me to take it easy and spend tꦏhis weekend relaxing at home," said McCauley, who will return to work at Talladega next week.

"Knowing that I can't be in Phoenix, it's going to probably be the most difficult couple of days of my life and I'm sure we'll burn out about a dozen cell phones before the weekend is over. We've been able to creat💞e a really tight-knit team with Kurt and all the guys on the #2 team, and I have full confidence that they'll do a job worthy of their calibre this weekend. Those guys are like family to me, and I wish I could be there to support them further."

Matt Gimbel, who guided Busch to victory in the rece✃nt Busch Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway, will take the ꦡhelm of the #2 Penske Racing team this weekend.
