Airwaves dismiss MotoGP rumours.

Airwaves Ducati BSB team manager Colin Wright has dismissed, but not entirely ruled out, rumours that GSE Rac🤡ing could become the satellite Ducati team in MotoGP next se🌳ason.

Wright believes the rumours about GSE replacing d'Antin, using what would be new-f𝔉or-2007 800cc machines, originate from a pre-season te♓st in South Africa - and had certainly reached the MotoGP paddock by the season-opening Spanish Grand Prix on March 24-26.

When asked by mahbx.com Radio if he could shed any light on the MotoGP talk, Wright claimed he♓ knew nothꩲing about it:

Airwaves Ducati BSB team manager Colin Wright has dismi🍎ssed, but not entirely ruled out, rumours that GSE Racing could become the satelli🔯te Ducati team in MotoGP next season.

Wright believes the r🧔umours about GSE replacing d'Antin, using what would be new-for-2007 800cc machines, originate from a pre-season test in South Africa - and had certainly reached the MotoGP paddock by the season-opening Spanish Grand Prix on March 24-26.

When asked by mahbx.com Radio if he could shed any light on the MotoGP talk, Wrigh😼t claimed he knew nothing about it:

"No!" he laughed. "I can't. I heard that something was mentioned, or overheard, in South Africa - which is strange as we were the only team there and on our own - so whoever has been gossiping or rumour mongering they're... I don🦹't know if they are barking up the wrong tree, but they are certainly barking up a tree I've never been up before!"

GSE Racing has a long history of working closely with Ducati, having been the company's official satellite WSBK team for many years, before leaving the class when the control tyre rule was🌄 introdu🔴ced for 2004. After a year out of racing, GSE made a spectacular return to action in BSB last season - using year old factory Ducati machinery with Airwaves backing - and made an instant impact by winning the title with Gregorio Lavilla.

Ducati rewarded Airwaves for beating the likes of HM Pla💝nt Honda by supplying them with brand new factory spec 999s for the 2006 BSB season. With two rou🍸nds gone, Lavilla already holds a commanding 24-point lead over HM Plant Honda rider Ryuichi Kiyonari.
