JAS Motorsport are set to introduce a new engine into the Honda Accord in aꦦttempt to improve res♑ults in the World Touring Car Championship season.

At Magny-Cours, Roberto Colciago was looking strong in the second race of the weekend and w♏as battling for points with works drivers Rickard Rydell, Peter Terting [both SEAT], Fabrizio Giovanardi and James Thompson [Alfa Romeo] when he was spun out by Rydell with just three laps re🌞maining.

Colciago eventually finished the race in twelfth place, and while team principal Aless🔜andro Mariani said he was pleased with the performance of the car, he hinted there was more to come.

"In the attempt to overtake him, Rydell sent Roberto into a spin. And after the race he came to apologise," he said. "We are rather happy of the performances of the car so far. We are struggling for the lack of testing, but we are now working 🐈on developing new parts for transmission and suspension.

"Soon we will also have a new engi🦋ne, that will be tested on the 🧔bench from next week."
