Paul Dumbrell has be🐼en found guilty of reckless driv𝕴ing by a CAMS hearing in Melbourne.

The charge related to the incident that caused race three at Pukekohe to be red flagged and has resulted🎀 in Dumbrell being hit with a $15,000 fine and a deduction of 75 championship points.

However, dꦗespite the verdict, Dumbrell will still race in the Perth V8 400 from 6-8 May although in the Team Perkins Racing #7 Autobarn-liveried Commodore instead of his usual #24 Castrol Holden.

"We acknowledge the result from the Stewards hearing but itꦰ doesn't diminish the faith we have in Paul and his ability on the racetrack," team boss Larry Perkins said. "As such, we are giving him every opportunity to perform well in Perth with a fresh Autobarn car ready for competition."

Perkins said it had been impossible to repair the Castrol car damaged at Pukekohe within the three-week time frame between the New Zealand and Western Australian rounds, taking into account the boat trip from Auckland back to Australia, ꦍand road trip from his Melbourne workshop to Perth.
