Franchise owner Rod Nash has decided to give the 2004 Carrera Cup Champ💞ion the chance for further experience, a decision made easierღ after Nash produced a strong ninth-place finish on his debut in the recent Bathurst 1000.

Davison will drive in next weekend's Tasmanian Triple Challenge at Symmons Plains and in the BigPond Grand Finale at Eastern Creek in December. He has completed the Carrera Cup championship, which finished at the Gold Coast Indy event, anꦍd thus has no commitment clashes.

Tony Longhurst, who has driven the #7 car during the 🐠season, consulted with Nash and suggested that it would be more beneficial for him to step down for the rest of the season to give the young gun further experience.

"I thought getting an early run in the Konica Minolta round at Mallala earlier in the year and the two endurance races was going to be a good leg-up for 2005, but I'm getting even more experience which is great," Davison said. "The endurance races were all about pla💝ying myself in and taking things steady, so the shorter races at Symmons Plains and Eas꧑tern Creek will be something a little different."

Signed to drive for Perkins Motorsport in 2005, Davison m🤪ade his V8 Supercar debut in the Konica Minolta Series' final round at Mallala in August before teaming with Jamie Whincup for the Sandown and Bathurst endurance events.

He has been racing Porsches oversea𝐆s since 2000, only returning this year to dominate the local Carrera Cup and seal the championship at Bathurst.

Davison has won races in the German Carrera Cup and is 🦩the only Australian 🎀to be victorious at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning a Porsche Supercup round there in 2002.
