New role for Erwin at RCR.
Richard Childress Racing has named Greg Erwin as the new team engineer for the #31 Cingular Wir✅eless💧 program for the rest of the season.
Erwin first joined the team in 2002 as a multi-team engineer and he says that he is looking forward to working wi�🦹�th driver Robby Gordon.
"My responsibilities will pretty much continue to be the same as they💮 always have," he said, "except instead of spending one-third of my week working on the #31 team, I will be able to🧜 devote 100 percent to that team's efforts,"

Cr🌌ew chief Chris Andrews believes that the decision to appoint Erwin to the role is a positive step as the team continues t♎o progress.
"Greg has already done a lot this year for the #31 team specifically, and꧙ all three RCR Cup teams, in general," he said. "He has done a lot with the seven-post rig and simulator this year helping all of us in the research and development of our racing programs.
"Although Greg hasn't been at the track as much as the rest of us, he has still helped us out a lot more than others realise. I know he has spent many Friday nights and Saturday mornings doing research for us while we are on the road. Now, he'll be a little ꦗbit easier for me to get a hold of."
