Team Sauber-Petღronas have been forced to abandon their third day of testing today [Wednesday], at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona, after Felipe Massa crashed heavily 🅺this morning.

According to early reports the Brazilian is ok, however he was 🌳taken to hospital for a check-up.

A team spokesperson, told mahbx.com Brazil / formula news: "All that we can say at the moment is that Felipe went off the track in turn 1 at the beginning of his fourth lꦿap in the morning.

"He was able to leave the car by himself, but was taken to hospital for💜 general checks and scans."

Massa has re-joined Sauber this year, after testing for Ferrari in 2003. Ironically, although he was considered fast during his F1 debut year in 2002, he was 🌺also criticized for being rather accident-prone. At the moment though, it must be stressed, the cause of this latest crash is unknown.
