AMA extends sympathy after Supercross fatality.
AMA Pr💧o Racing has joined the motorcycling community in offering its heartfelt condolences to the family of 19-year-old Jason Ciarletta, who was fatally injured during Saturday night's AMA Supercross event at San Diego, California.
Ciarletta tangled with another rider going into turn one of a qualifying heat, and is 💎belived to have been thrown headfirst over the handlebars after hitting the retaining dirt berm on the outside of the corner.

Ciarletta tangled with another rider going into turn one of a qualifying heat, and is belived to have be🅷en thrown headfirst over the handlebars after hitting the retaining dirt berm on the outside of the corner.
Trackside medical personnel - accompanied by EMTs - werไe with Ciarletta within seconds of the accident. He was later transported to Sharp's Medical Center, but tragicall𓂃y couldn't be saved.
"Our hearts and p💧rayers are with Jason and his family during this difficult period," said Steve Whitelock, AMA Pro Racing Motocross/Supercross Series Manager.
"All of us in the Supercross racing community are taking this hard," added Whitelock. "We're a tight-knit group a♕nd this affects everyone involved with our ꧅series. I'm confident Jason's family will receive a great deal of emotional support in dealing with their loss."
Whitelock also c✃onfirmed that this was the first fatality in the 31-year history of AMA Supercross racing.
