Mildenhal💯l Fen Tigers hope to get back to winning ways this weekend when they take on Trelawny at West Row in the CL Trophy. The injury plagued Fen Tigers came away with just one point from their two meetings away to Armadale and Buxton last weekend and general manager Graham Drury has moved swiftly to bolster the side by bringing in Benji Compton and Danny Norton who are eligible for Trophy and cup meetings only.

"It's fair to say that we are in the middle of an injury crisis and hopefully Benji and Danny will do a job for us in those two competitions" said Drury on the eve of the Fen Tigers visit to Oxford on Wednesday in the second leg of the KO Cup. We hold a 16 point lead from the first leg and we will have to work ha😼rd to go through. But we're optimistic and will travel th🔯ere in a positive frame of mind".

The Fen Tigers were without the likes of Ben Howe, Daniel King, Scott James, Nick Simmons, James Brundle and Lee Hodgson last weekend and it was left to skipper Wayne Broadhurst to front the challenge at both venues. "We were always up against us, but these things happen from tim🅘e to time and you just have to get on with it" said Broadhurst.

"We managed to nick the bonus point from Buxton and that was our minimum target from the two meetings. There's still plenty of meetings and there ꦬis no way we will give up our hold on the CL Trophy just yet".

Drury expects to have Howe, Simmons and Brundle bac🐎k in action for at least one, if not both, meetings this week - though there is mixed news on other riders. "Ben (Howe) is not quite 100 per cent, but he's keen to be back and he's proving to be a very good team man. The same g♊oes for James and I hope Nick will have a run in the side from now on" explained Drury.

"Scott (James) sees a specialist on August 4th and we're hoping that he will get the all-clear t♕o start physio and be ready for the Sheffield meetings. I think Lee Hodgson and Daniel King are likely to take breaks from the Conference League; mainly because of finances. Both are young riders at the s♋tart of their careers and have found it hard to fund racing - though I'm sure they will be back sooner rather than later".

Fixture changes see Mildenhall travel to Swindon on September 🌳11 and Boston on September 26.
