"It's been a pretty weird weekend so far," said the Kentuckian. "Not one session has been the same - it's been wetඣ, dry and everything in between and I've had a fourth gear crash. This morning was actually pretty good, the bike was quite stable in the rain and I was putting in some pretty good lap times.
"We've got a pre-race warm-up tomꩲorrow morning and hopefully it will be dry. When the bell rings I'll just have to try to get a good start! It's been a long time since I started a race from the sixth row," added Nicky.
