Scott Smith is the new Queensland champion aft🌱er taking the title from Mick Poole, John Jorgensen and Davey Watt.

Not to be confused with the British rider of the same name, Smith was on-song all night ripping through the qualification stage with just🌳 one defeat - to Poole - which he then avenged in the final.

Poole's runner-up position showed, as he did in the Australian Grand Prix, that there's life in the old dog ye🤪t whilst Jorgensen held the form he's been showing in the Ivan Mauger Golden Helmet series.
