Brown: Suggested Alonso Sonoma IndyCar appearance ‘fake news’

McLaren executive diꦺrector Zak Brown has dismissed the suggestion that Fernando Alonso could miss the Formula 1 race in Singap🌳ore in order to take part in IndyCar’s season finale at Sonoma, calling it “fake news”.

Two-time F1 world champion Alonso missed the Monaco Grand Prix to make his debut at the Indianapolis 500 back in May as part of a joint entry between McLaren, Honda and Andretti Autosport, 𒊎quꦫalifying fifth and leading part of the race before ultimately retiring with an engine failure.

McLaren executive director Zak Brown has dismissed the suggestion that Fernando Alonso could miss the Formula 1 race in Singapore in order to take part in IndyCar’s season finale at Sonoma, calling it “♚fake news”.

Alonso’s evident enjoyment of th🐭e IndyCar event led to suggestions that he could be set to make a second appearance at the final race of the year at Sonoma, which clashes with the Sing🎃apore Grand Prix.

However, Brown was quick to dismiss the suggestion, confirming that Alonso would be racing in Singapore🅠 as planned.
