Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Alonso cleared by medics

Fernando Alonso has been cleared by medicཧs after precautionary checks following his heavy impact in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Alonso ran over the kerbs at high-speed as he exited the pits following his second stop in an attempt to avoid contact with theꦗ Toro Rosso of Jean-Eric Vergne, with the Frenchman having been unaware that Alonso was exiting the pits alongside him.
The heavওy landing triggered an alarm in Alonso's car that mean🀅t he had to undergo checks, with an impact of more than 25g being registered when his car hit the ground.
The Spaniard was given the 🌳all-clear despite having complained of some back ꧟pain following the race.
"I still have all my teeth," he jok💧ed. "The back is obviously a little bit painful because it was a big hit."
The incident was investigated by stewards after the race, who deemed Alonso should face no penalty as he couldn't have done🌟 anything else to avoid contact with Vergne - who himself said the Spaniard had avoided a large accident.
Alonso went on to finish the🐈 race in fifth place after a strong final stint on the soft compound tyre but said he needed to push for podium finishes in the final two races to try and help Ferrari reclaim second in♒ the constructors' championship.
"I am happy to h💜ave brought home points for the team in a race that was always going to be tough, on what has been a very difficult weekend 🐎for us," he said. "Given the gap to the top four, I certainly couldn't have done more.
"Now, if we don't want ꦍto give up our fight in the constructors' championship, we absolutely must do better and finish the last two races on the podium."
