MINI has failed to meet the FIA 2012 registration date for WRC ma🔜nufacturers', it is being reported.

According to Autosport.com, the Prodrive-run outfit is still in talks with BMW, MINI꧒ of course is now part𓄧 of the BMW Group, and the squad is now seeking an extension from the FIA, the sports' governing body.

When contacted by mahbx.com, a spokesperson for Pro𒁏drive refused to comm꧃ent on the matter.

MINI had been expected to take in all the events 🃏in 2012 with the John Cooper Works WRC cars, following a successful six-event campaign this season with Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke, the former notching up two podiums and also challenging for the win in France.

The deadl꧂ine for WRC manufacturers' was yesterday [December 19].
