The Network Q Rally of Great Britain media office has released further information on those spectators injured in the accident oꦦn Special Stage 11 (Brechfa 2) yesterday involving Ford's Carlos Sainz.

Sainz lost control of his Focus under braking and struck a car before hitting specataဣtors eight milꦫes into the stage. Both that test and SS12 were later cancelled while ambulances treated the injured.

The Chief Medi꧙cal Officer and West Wales General Hospital have confirmed that the nine spectators with minor𓆉 injuries were all discharged on Saturday evening.

A tweolve-year old boy with severe bruising is expected to leave the hospital today; whi𝓡le a 13-year old girl is still in hospital and expected to have surgery on a lower limb injury. One adult with head injuries is expected🐬 to be discharged later today, and the adult with back injuries will be staying in hospital for another night.

The Network Q Rally of Great Britain organisers have emphasised that the event employs stringent safety procedures, including the use of three spectator control and saf꧒ety cars who go through each stage in advance of t𝕴he competitor cars.

Every stage is also inspected by the FIA Safety Delegate who has the power to recommend the cancellation of a stage if not satisfied with the safety st⛦andards. Additional spectator safety scrutiny is conducted by the MSA's own Health and Safety Executive and the Spectator and Event Safety Manuals run to over 200 pages.

The Motor Sports Association has already begun the procedures for a thorough investigation of the incident and any recommendations made following this will be implemented for next𝓀 year'𒆙s event.
