Tom Chilton out of Silverstone after operation

Tom Chilton will be forced to sit out the Silverstone round of the British Touring Car Championship for🌼 Power Maxed Racing after undergoing ‘a routine operation’.

Chilton, who is making his return to BTCC this year in a dual campai𓆏gn in WTCC for Sebastien Loeb Racing Citroen, will miss the penultimate round of the season on medic🔴al orders after undergoing surgery which requires a sustained recovery period.

As a result, Chilton will skip the Silverstone round (16-17 September) before returning 🧸to action for the 2017 finale at Brands Hatch (30 September-1 October).

“It’s such a shame to mi꧑ss the next races, but I have to follow the doctor’s orders,” said Chilton. “I’m gutted to miss Silverstone particularly as it’s one of my favourite tracks, but I will be back for Brands.”

Power Maxed Racing has confirmed a replacement for Chilton will be announced in the coming days for 𝄹Silverstone to ensure it retains its tw🌟o Vauxhall Astra line-up.
