BTCC Silverstone: Collard and Burns transferred to hospital after crash
Rob Collard and Will Burns have both beenꦫ transferred to hospital following the major shunt which ha🐻lted round 25 of the 2017 British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone.
A chain-reaction of contact on the approach to Maggots corner pushed Team BMW's Collard onto the wet grass through Becketts before eventually settling right in the line of fire, where Burns col�🥂�lected the stricken 1 Series.
The contact caused a severe degree of damage and while both drivers extricated themselves from the scene ꦕof the incident, both are being sent to hospital for further checks.

Collard is ꦺsaid to be bruised and shaken from the incident and receiving precautionary checks, but is largely OK.
Burns has since been diagnosed with suspected broken ribs and has ✱been airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Understandably, both drivers have b🔯een ruled out for the remainder♓ of the meeting.
