Gino Rea will make his full-time Bennetts British Superbike champio🐭nship comeback with Bike Devil Ducati.
After re-joining the Hampshire-based team for the final two rounds of 2019, having previously recorded a best-ever result for an MV Agusta in BSB with 12th place at Ca💮dwell Park in Race 1, Rea completes the new-look♊ team as it switches to Ducati machinery for 2020.
Naturally Rea is relishing the opportunity to ꦡrace the title-winning Ducati V4 R next year, meaning there will be four Ducatis on the 2020 grid alongside the Josh Brookes and Christian Iddon at PBM plus Tommy Bridewell at Oxford Racing, and after a truncated 2019 switching between BSB and the Endurance World Champiꦅonship the British rider is looking forward to a fresh start.
“I’m so excited and grateful to be returning to the BSB paddock full time in 2020 with Bike Devil Ducati. After joiꦕning the team as a last-minute replacement at Cadwell Park where we scored points straight away, it is greaꦛt to be rewarded with a full-time ride next season,” Rea said.
“It’s been a tough year having to watch all the races that I should have been in but I stayed active, and I learnt a lot running the R4R Superstock team and competing in th🐈e Endurance World Championship. It’s made me even more determined and hungry to come back racing in BSB.
“Making the switch to the Ducati V4 is a fantastic opportunity for us all, we kno𓆉w what the Ducati is capable of aᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚnd I hope we can maximise the potential of the bike. I’ll do everything I can to make this successful.”
