With both defending champion Colin Turkiꦛngton and Tom Oli෴phant already signed up by the team for next season, the dominant force in BTCC will run an expanded driver line-up with Jordan next year.

Andrew Jordan has been retained in the Team BMW West Surrey Racing’s line-up for the 20𒀰20 British Touring Car Championship.

With both defending champion Colin Turkington and Tom Oliphant already signed u൲p by the team for next season, the dominant force in BTCC will run an expanded driver line-up with Jordan next year.

Last year Jordan competed in a WSR-prepared BMW Pirtek Racing 330i M Sport but with the sponsor pulling out of BTCC at the end of this season the 2013 champion’s future looked ꧋uncertain.

But h𓂃aving finished runner-up to Turkington in 2019 and helping B𝕴MW to a fourth consecutive BTCC manufacturers’ title, Jordan will remain part of the team for 2020.

“I’m over the moon to make this announc♑ement today,” Jordan said. “Ever since Pirtek – who have been incredible supporters of mine for a decade – told me that motorsport no longer featured in their plans last summer, I’ve been trying desperately to piece together a deal to remain in the BTCC with WSR.

“It’s taken a while, but thanks to BMW UK, WSR and𝓡 our commercial partners, I can now go into Christmas knowing that my 2020 plans are sorted.

“After winning more races than anyone else and coming so close to winning my second BTCC title last year, the aim is to go one better and I absolutely have the best team ar🏅ound me I could possibly hope for to make that 💛dream a reality. I can’t wait.”

Team principal Dick Bennetts confirmed he was keen to keep hold of J♐ordan for 2020 and is naturally delighted to💯 complete the deal.

“I’m really pleased to be able to announce this news today,” Bennetts said. “AJ is one of the finest BTCC drivers not just of the current ౠcrop, but of this whole generation, and he showed incredible determination and fighting spirit this year to turn what could have been a complete loss after the Donington incident into a final-round battle for t💦he championship.

“With Colin Turkington, Tom Oliphant and now AJ forming a three-pronged line-up and a BMW 330i M Sport that is undergoing a development programme during the winter, we have one of, if not the strongest line-ups in recent BTCC seasons and a car to challenge for more♓ champ꧅ionships. Continuity is a key to success.”
