Brands Hatch undergoes ‘major improvements project’
Brands Hatch’s gravel trap area at Clearways has been “extensively re-profiꦍled” as part of improvements made to the Kent circuit for 2020.
The runoff area at Clearways and Clark Curve has been extended to push the Armco barriers and debris fencing further away f😼rom the circuit to increase the safety of competitors at the track for both two and four wheels motorsport.
Spectators will still be able to watch the circuit action from the outside of Clearways from 💎a raised viewing area being constructed over the winter.

“This major on-track proje🐼ct is a hugely positive move which massively promotes the safety of competitors, both in car and motorcycle racing,” Mike Groves, Brands Hat൲ch Circuit Manager, said.
“This development significantly increases the size of our gravel trap run-off at Clearways and Clark Curve but will continue to allow spectators to view from that ar♋ea of the venue if they so wish.”
Brands Hatch ♓has confirm🌃ed the improvements will be completed in time for the 2020 season with the BMCRC-MRO Bike championship debuting the updated track.
Fellow MotorSport Vision-run circuits Snetterton and Cadwell Parkཧ are also undergoing updates ahead of the 2020 season. Snetterton has seen new Armco barriers installed along the Bentley Straight plus new fire and recovery vehicles, while Cadwell Park’s paddock tarmaꦿc area is being increased along with minor resurfacing work and barrier improvements.
Both B🏅rands Hatch and Snetterton host the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship and the Bennetts British Superbike championship, while BSB also heads to Cadwell Park in 2020.
