Preparations for the new Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia, set to hold WorldSBK (as early as this year) and MotoGP races are close to comple♛tion. 

To date, the overall progress 🤪of the Mandalika Circuit constructiཧon work has reached 80 percent, with the second layer of asphalt (AC-Binder) to be completed this week.

The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) - promoter of the event has provided the latest update on circuit construction, via their Instagram: "The overall progress of construction work at the Mandalika Circuit has reached 80.02% with the serviꦓce road asphalting progress which has been paved for about 7,860 meters out of a total of 8,120 meters.” 

"In addition to this work, since July 3, 2021, the second layer of asphalt work (AC-Binder) has begun for the first segment and continued for the following segments. This second lay𝔉er of work will be completed in mid-July 2021.

"Then, the last layer of work (Stone Mas🐓tic Asphalt / SMA) on the tracklane will be completed before Homologation which will🔯 be carried out at the end of July to early August 2021."

In addition to the asphalting process, MGPA has started to build its race control room, which has currently reached 65% and is targeted to be completed by the end of ♎July💃. 

"Construction of Race Control at the Mandalika Cir🔴c🎉uit is also getting faster and so far it has reached 65% and will be completed by the end of July," continued MGPA in its latest Instagram post.

"The design of this two-story building is inspired by the roof design of Bale Lumbung, a type of traditional house in Sasak Sade Villa🅠ge in Central Lombok which is a symbol of prosperity for the Sasak people and also as a symbol of the identity of Central Lom🧔bok."

Once h🤪omologated, the Mandalika Circuit will be 4.3 km in length with 17 corners, as it prepares to debut in the 2021 World Superbike championship as the final round on November๊ 13 and 14.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian MotoGP at Mandalika has been postponed until early next year, possibly after the Qatar GP at the Losail International Circuit in March or April 2𓆏022.
