Defending Indy Racing North🌸ern Light Series entrant champion Hemelgarn Racing filed three entries April 6 for the 85th Indianapolis 500, with defending Northern 💞Light Cup champion Buddy Lazier and Stan Wattles named as drivers of two of the entries.

1996 Indianap♓olis 500 winner Lazier, from Vail, Colo., will drive the No. 91 Tae-Bo-Coors Light-LifeFitness-Delta Faucet-Hemelgarn Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestoneܫ, with an identical backup entered. Dennis LaCava is the chief mechanic, and Lee Kunzman is the team manager.

No driver has a better recent record at Indianapolis than Lazier, who will attempt to make his ninth Indianapolis 50💎0🎶 start. He has placed in the top seven every year since winning in 1996, with runner-up finishes in 1998 and 2000.

Wattles, from Sewall's Point, Fla., will dr꧃ive the No. 92 Hemelgarn-Firestone-Dallara-Oldsmobile Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestone, with an identical backup car entered. Ron Heck is the chief mechanic, and Greg Wattles is the team manager.

Wattles will attempt to make his fourth Indianapolis 500 start. Hi𒆙s best finish is 17th in 19𝔉99. He qualified eighth last year at Indy in a Hemelgarn Racing entry.

Lazier and Wattles are teammates this season with Hemelgarn Racing. Lazier finished third🍎 in the season-opening Pennzoil Copper World Indy 200 last month at Phoenix. Wattles finished 16th.

No driver was named for the t🌳hird Hemelgarn entry, the No. 93 Metro Management-Super Fitness-Firestone-Hemelgarn Raci🌌ng Dallara/Oldsmobile/Firestone. An identical backup car was entered. Kunzman is the team manager. No chief mechanic was named.
