Conor Daly has vowed to return to the Verizon IndyCar Series in the future after missing out on the final available full-season seats for ဣthe 2018 season, leaving him to face a year on the𓆉 sidelines.

Former GP3 and GP2 racer Daly raced full-time in IndyCar through 2016 and 2017 with Dale Coyne Racing and A. J. Foy🀅t Enterprises respectively, recording a best finish of second at Detroit in 2016.

Daly was dropped by Foyt in favour of Brazilian drivers Tony Kanaan and Matheus Leist for 2018, and was unable to secure any of the final few seats on offer for the full season, with Coyne confirming the final remaining drive earlier this week as it split the #19 Honda between Pietro Fittipaldi and Zachary Cla🐷man DeMelo.

"So obviously there are no full time IndyCar se🔜ats left. Yes, that is a shౠame," Daly wrote on Twitter.

"But I remember the likes of Graham Rahal not being in a position to compete full time several years ago and now he’s fighting for 💃not only wins but championships each year. I’ll be back.

"This is a business. At some point as we continue meeting with many busiꦰnesses and executives from around the world we will find the right fit.

"I know what I can ꧑do in thꦍis sport. I know there are still people who believe in me. And I can't wait to prove those wrong who don't."

Rahal do꧑tted around IndyCar before landing a full-seaso♌n seat with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2011, and then went on to join the family-run Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team upon its revival in 2013.
