Ben Collins' sterling runꦐ in the Ascari has come to a halt on the far side of the Circuit de La Sarthe where the A410 sits motionless.

Collins had just ventured into a fourth successive stint with the Judd-powered machine (the sister to that pictured), but coasted to a stop i the Mulsanne area with no igniᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚtion. Attempts to restart the car proved fruitless but, with limited radio communication to the pit garage, Collins is currently undertaking rudimentary reparis in the hope that he can rejoin the rac▨e.

The Ascari had been lying in fifth place at the end of the eleventh hour, and had run ღrun more reliably than many had anticipated.
