Moto2: Jorge Martin returns in Catalunya after Covid absence

Moto2 title contender Jℱorge Martin will re𒀰turn to grand prix action in Catalunya this weekend after missing both Misano rounds following a positive Covid test.
The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider has slipped from joint second in the standings to fifth during his absence, while the gap to title leader Luca Mar♏ini has grown from 8 to 46 points.
With seven rounds to go it's still po🥃ssible for Martin to snatch the Moto2 crown before his to-be-confirmed move to MotoGP with Pramac Ducati next season, but the Spaniard knows he'll need to add to his Red Bull Ri🐼ng victory.
“I'm very happy to be back again, as it was a few tough weeks for me. I am eager to get back on the bike; having to watch the races from home 🔴was difficult," Martin said.
"Now our objective will be different; we have to try to win as many races as ꦺpossible. When we have completed a few grands prix, we'll see where we really are - and if we have a chance to fꦑight for the title.
"I like the track at Barcelona. I am competitive there andౠ I have obtained good results there in the past. I can't wait for tomorrow, to start working and to do my best."
Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi and Sam Lowes currently seperate Marini and Martin in the world championship🅷 standings.
