Le🦩on Camier will make a belated MotoGP debut in place of a healing Nicky Hayden at the Drive M7 Aspar team.

Former BSB champion and multiple WSBK podium finisher Camier had been due to ride for Iodaracing in MotoGP this season, but lost out when the team cut back to a single ART due to funding issues.

The 27-year-old Englishman instead returned to WSBK as a replacement for injured riders at BMW (Sylvain Barrier) and MV Agusta (Claudio Corti) - but was also put on standby to replace Hayden at Catalunya in June, where the American ultimately made hi꧑s comeback from the initial wrist surgery.

However havi🐻ng recently undergone a second operation, Hayden will not have time to recover for the upcoming Indianapolis and Brno rounds - August 10th and 17th respectively - where Camier will take his place on the Open class Honda.
