The Reale Avintia team has confirmed that Tito Rabat br🌼oke his right femur, tibia and fibula when he was hit by Franco Morbidelli's bike, moments after falling in the wet final practice.
The likes of Alex Rins, Rabat, Aleix Espargaro, Jorge Lorenzo and Morbidelli were all caught out🎐 by what riders later labelled as a lack of drainage from the new Silverstone asphalt, which caused their bikes to aqಞuaplane out of control at the end of the Hangar Straight - Stowe Corner - following a brief downpour.
"The accumulati✃on of water was enormous and several riders, Tito Rabat being one of them, crashed," said an Avintia statement, which added that Rabat was hit "with full force" when he "got up to reach the safety of the trackside barriers". The session was red-flagged.
There are&n🎃bsp;unconfirmed reports that Rabat severed an artery in the incident alongside the multiple fractures, at least one🌱 of which is thought to have been an open wound.
The Spaniard was airlifted to the University Hospital of Coventry and will underg🐽o "emergen﷽cy surgery".
