Times at the top were tight, with Dovizioso just 0.028s slower and Lorenzo 0.151s off the reigning world champion. But neither rider in red appeared particularly pleased at the close of the session as the extent of their afternoon challenge bﷺecame clear.
Cal Crutchlow enjoyed a positive session, ending it with the fourth fastest time, 0💜.441s off the front, with Jack Miller fifth. Dani Pedrosa appears to have found a cure for his accelerating issues in sectors two𒁏 and four with the sixth quickest time.
The warm-up wasn’t so positive for the Movistar Yamahas of Maverick Viñales (se⭕venth) and Valentino Rossi (eleventh), who were 0.6s and 0.9s off Marquez’s pace.
