2020 Andalucia MotoGP, Jerez - Friday LIVE!

MotoGP stayed a🧸t Jerez following last Sunday's season-opener with round two, the Andalucia Grand Prix, taking place at the circuit this weekend.

The big news is that Mot꧒oGP champion Marc Marquez will attempt a return to action, less than a week after frꦐacturing his right arm.

Marquez is due to sit out Friday practice and return on Saturdayꦇ, but fellow injuꦰred riders Cal Crutchlow (wrist fracture) and Alex Rins (dislocated shoulder) are due to be back on track today.

Petronas Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo took his first-ever MotoGP victory in last Sunday's race, finishing a comfortable 4.6s clear of Monster Yamaha's Maverick Vinales, with Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso completing the p♐odium after Marquez's huge highside.

Others to watch this weekend include the KTM's of Pol Espargaro, rookie Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira, who all impressed 🎃on Sunday. By contrast, Aleix Espargaro and Aprilia will be out for revenge after their highly impressive winter form deserted them during the opening weekend.

Meanwhiꦗle, Marquez's Saturday comeback will mark the first time since Jorge Lorenzo at Assen 2013 that a MotoGP rider has attempted such an early return from surgery t🤪o plate a broken bone.
