Following intense early race 🐻battles with Joan Mir and team-m🗹ate Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller came through to finish fourth at the British MotoGP. 

It’𝓡s the Australian’s best ever result at Silverst🌌one - previous best was sixth in Moto3 (2014).

While many riders suffered with tyre drop off including Bagnaia who finish꧒ed 14th after starting second, Miller was one of the few riders to get faster and faster as the race went on. 

So much so that he closed in o🔜n the podium battle involving Alex Rins, Aleix and Pol Espargaro by half a second over several laps, once getting the better of Mir. 

This was Miller’s strategy all along as he aimed to leavꦰe something in reserve🍃 come the final few laps, however, keeping the same pace became difficult once behind Aleix Espargaro even after attempting a last lap move for third. 

Speaking about his strategy and the race as a whole, Miller added: "I was gliding in the beginning. It was more o꧟f a strategy, but I didn’t want to really push. 

"Honestly, I was quite shocked because I was on the group sort of at the back and I could see the whole group basic💖ally in first position. 

"Then I got in a lit🅘tle tussle with Mir. Once that sort of settled down, I was behind him. I looked and I saw that Fabio [Quartararo] got to the fro💎nt and he was miles in front of us. I was like, when did that happen? He was just gone. 

"I was like, okay, looks like we’re racing for second here. It was one of those races I guess you could say. I enjoyed it and I felt like mꦛy strategy wasn’t bad. 

"ꦫFor sure, I think a better starting position would have definitely helped because to not have to make those overtakes or get stuck in a battle and just focus on my own race more than anything would have been nice. ജ;

"Definitely happy to come out🎐 (with a result), because the first lap was pretty hectic. So, to come out unscathed and in a decent position was pretty nice."
