Aragon MotoGP: Miller ‘surprised’ by soft tyre grip, feels ‘quietly confident’

Jack Miller will start tomorr๊ow’s Aragon MotoGP from second after a late Q2 surge saw him better championship leader Fabio Quartararo.&nbs♏p;
It was a lap the Australian needed after initially being pushed down the order by Ma൩rc Marquez, Jo🐼rge Martin and Aleix Espargaro.
Speaking after qualifying, Miller added: "I’m excited. The front row is nice and is the key thing around here. The first lap around here c🃏an get a bit hectic.
"We’ve been working really hard t𝓀his weekend and in FP3/FP4 we were just on race pa𝓡ce.
"I was really surprised at how well the soft i✤s holding up on the rear. It can be an option f♏or tomorrow.
"This afternoon we got to try the hard f♍ront too, so I feel quietly confident coming into tomorrow’s race, but no, it was an amazing day today."
While Miller made it a Ducati 1-2, even🍒 he was unable to get close to Bagnaia who set a new lap record in the process.
Regarding race pace and the efforts he put in during FP3 an⭕d FP4, Miller believes it’s the best he’s looke🀅d in terms of free practice ‘consistency ever’.
"I ꩲdon’t think I’ve ever done an FP3 and FP4 like that with such consistency, let alone the qualifying," said the facto✤ry Ducati man.
"I’m excited for tomorrow and generally I can find a little bit more pace."🅺💎
The ღtwo-time race winner this season also touched on Marc Marquez who has arguably looked the best in race trim this weeken💦d.
Miller said: "About Marc [Marquez], he’s laid it down a couple of times this weekend a🙈nd he gets a bit hot in the first couple of laps of recent.
"So, I’m happy to be out front and hopefully w🀅e can just get a clea🐟r start and try to focus on our own race."
