The Grand Prix Commission has agreed on sever🐓al changes to the MotoE race weekend format ꦡfor the 2022 season of the electric-bike class.

While only the Misano finale featured two races this season, a pair of ☂races per weekend will become the 'standard' for MotoE next year.

Both free practices sessions and qualifying will now be held on a Friday, followed by race 1 on Saturday and race 2 on Sunday. Each MotoE 🥂race will normally be held after the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes.

A further🅰 alternation will see the one lap per rider E-pole session binned aဣnd replaced by the 'knockout' system used in the Grand Prix classes.

The eight fastest riders after free practice will go directly to Qualifying 2, with the other ten riders taking part in Qualifying 1, wherꩲe the top two will progress to the Q2 pole posi💎tion shootout.

Both qualifying sessions will b🍌e ten minutes in length, with an unlimite🦋d number of laps during that time.

The two fastest riders in Qualifying 1 will be permitted to recharge their machine in pit lane and also receive an additional rear tyr♚e before Qualifying 2.

The 2021 MotoE Cꦕup reached a controversial conclusion when title rivals Jordi Torres and Dominique Aegerter clashed for vicဣtory on the final lap of the season at Misano, leaving Torres on the ground and Aegerter as champion… Until the FIM Stewards penalised the Swiss rider, handing a second title to Torres.
