Kevin Harvick and the #29 Richard Childress Racing team will compete 🅺in this weekend's Dickies 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway with heavy hearts after Harvick's father-in-law John Paul Linville passed away earlier this week.

Linville (62), wh🐭o had been ill for ♔some time, died on Tuesday and while both Harvick and his crew chief Todd Berrier have lost a close friend, both with race on this weekend.

The father of Harviꦰck's wife DeLana was a racer himself, wit✃h 136 Busch Series starts to his name including three top ten efforts between 1985 and 1990. Most recently he worked for Harvick's own NASCAR team, Kevin Harvick Inc.
