Wimbledon🔯 co-promoters David Croucher and Steve Ribbons looked up at the grey clouds looming th💯reateningly over the famous Plough Lane Stadium at Wimbledon, and declared "There's nothing but Blue Skies ahead".

After endless meetings with sponsors and marketing agents, one of the last jobs ꦉof the day was to see how the new Dons flags looked, fluttering in the wind.

Seven massi✃ve🔯 6ft flags had been commissioned in the team colours with a bright yellow star centred on a red background, and the first had arrived.

Croucher commented, "It looks like a kid waving a hanky from the other end of the Stadiuꦏm. We will have to make them b🐓igger. 8 or 10 feet long."

This quest of the speedway loving pair to bring all the razzmatazz o꧋f the Grand Prix and the professionalism of t🤪he Elite League is evident in everything they do.

A deal has been struck with t🧸he ever-helpful landlords, the Greyhound Racing Association, to place a Track Shoꦡp inside the Stadium.

"ღTrack Shops historically have always been by the side of the track" said David, "But we don't want a wallpaper table with a f▨ew badges and programmes on it, out in the cold and damp! You wouldn't see it Manchester United's football ground, and you are not going to see it here."

The last job of the day was to check the electronic scoreb💝oard. The massive floodlights of the Plough Lane Stadium burned brightly in the silent arena as David Croucher typed the following message to warm the hearts of all Wimbledon fans.
