Milde♋nhall Fen Tigers warmed up for what is likely to be a hard meeting against Wolverhampton on Sunday by trouncing Newport 65-25 last weekend. Scott Pegler and Danny Hughes scored all but three of the visitors total against a side that looked sharp and 𓃲eager.

Scott James had a full maximum and James Brundle a paid maximum for the Fen Tigers whilst the other team members were all paid for double figures. "I want to see a professional display against every team because the public deserve tꦇhat at least" said team manager Graham Drury.

"To that end, I was really pleased that we kept our foot on the pedal from start to finish. Winning races is always a good habit to harbour and I want our riders having the sa🍷me mental strength against the lesser teams as they do against the top sides".

The Superior Exteriors put a string of 5-1's together and led 33-9 after seven heats. Scott Pegler had good wins over 🔯the returning Daniel King in heat 11, Wayne Broadhurst and King in heat 13 and again over Broadhurst in the last - but it was generally a very solid display by the home side.

Reserves Matthew Wright and Tony Dart again showed how much they have improved during the current campaign. Dart's rise from raw novice in March to his current ability is testament to his determinatio๊n and ability and he recently had his first PL guest booking for Kings Lynn and featu👍red in an article in The Sun newspaper over the weekend.

"I'm not in the least surprised that Tony had that booking - but a lot of supporte✅rs appear to have got the wrong end of the stick and think he has signed for Kings Lynn" added Drury. That is not the case at all. Tony is still with us and will continue to do so. He has good sponsorship, enjoys being with us and wants to stay put".

Wolverhampton are this Sundays visitors and will provide the Fen Tigers with much stronger opposition. Graham Jones and Matthew Wethe🌺rs in particular have proven to be very capable performers this season and Fen Tigers skipper Wayne Broadhurst will ensure his side are on the ball.

"We can't afford to underestimate any team, leas𝔍t of all the likes of Wolverhampton" he said. "I know all about✃ Jonah (Jones) and he definitely takes no prisoners on the track. He's a really committed rider and his inclusion at Wolverhampton has made a huge difference to them."

"Graham leads by example and is more than capable of jumping out and winning races against anyone. But the🐈y are far from a one man team and I really do expect this to be a hard match for us".

Ben Howe comes back🍌 in to the side on Sunday in place of🦂 Daniel King who rides for Reading at Stoke.
