Freddy Loix has become the second winne𝔉r of the Colin McRae IRC Flat Out Trophy, following his victory on Rali Vinho Madeira.

Loix was handed the prestigious award by a panel of judges consisting of the IRC's Motorsport Development Manager Jean-Pierreꦚ Nicolas, Gilbert Roy, the Director of E🥂ditorial and Programme Development for Eurosport Events, and Colin's father Jimmy McRae.

The 39-year-old took his second win in as many IRC events this season with a dominant display that saw him go fastest on 14 of the 21 all-asphalt special stages - w🗹ith his victory made all the more remarkable by the fact he dislocated his shoulder just a fortnight before the event ꦗin a motorbike fall.

"I knew Colin very well because we did World Rally Championship events together for many years," Loix said. "But on top of that we were friends and spent a lot of time at home on motorbikes. I knew him better as a friend than as a rally driver so this means a lot to me💎."
