The FIA has confirmed that the 2012 World Rally Championship calendar will be 'officialised' before the end of this mont💖h.

The calendar was 'examined' this week when the World Motor Sport Council held its latest ♎meeting in Paris. It will now be submitted again to the WജMSC via a fax vote. The dates will then be confirmed taking into account the reduction of clashes with F1.

Meanwhile the FIA also announced that the minimum weight 💎of the seats in WRC cars will be increase𒐪d from 1 January 2012 in order to increase safety: "There will be greater freedom on seat material. This will enable competitors to use homologated seats with carbon shells at a more reasonable cost," the FIA explained.

Also, from 1 January 2013, the assumed weight of the crew will be increased from 150 kg to 160❀ kg to reflect average weights.
