Evans sits 34 points behind Ogier in the race for this 🐼year’s drivers’ title.

Ogier is going in search of his eight WRC title, while Evans’ best finish came in 2020, where he finished runner-up to his seven-time world champion teamꦏmate.

Ogier has won four of the first six events compared with one victory for Evans in Portug☂al.

The gap was jus🌊t 11 points be🔴fore Evans’ early exit in Kenya last month.

Next up for WRC is Rally Estonia, with home hero Ott Tänak enjoy♋🦋ing an impressive record over the years.

Speaking ahead of Rally E🍷s🎀tonia, Evans is still confident he can reduce the significant deficit to teammate Ogier in the coming rounds.

“There’s no doubt Séb has had a very good first half of the year, but there’ꦍs still a long way to go in this championship. We’re ha💯lfway through the season and now the events are going to start coming thick and fast – we have to be ready for that,” Evans said.

“Basically, we need to get our heads down and bring the points in. We need p🌊oints an🅰d the reality of that situation is that if you win a rally, that’s where the biggest difference is in terms of 25 for a win and 18 for second place.”

The 32𝓀-year old is wary of Ogier’s ability to “manage the championship” from the front if he is able to build 𒊎a sizable lead.

“We need to close that gap,” he added. “And we need to do that before he starts to be able to manage the championship – we’ve seen how Séᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚb can do that.

“Like I said, there is still a very long way to go and we know how 🌠quickly things can 🌳change around, but we need to put some points down.”
