Florian Marino will replace PJ Jacobsen for the remainder of the 2018 World Superbike champ🍃ionship at Triple M Honda starting this weekend in Argentina.

Following a difficult campaig🧸n with just a single top ten finish, Jacobsen and Triple M Honda have mutually split with Marino set to ride for the team at the final two rounds in Argentina and Qatar.

Marino will make his World Supe🌠rbike debut this weekend at the new Villicum circuit having spent the past four years in the European Superstock 1000 class, taking six podiums from 22 races.

“I am really thankful to Triple M Honda for giving me this opportunity,” Marino♉ said. “I already know the team manager Manuel Cappelletti well, so I know I will feel welcome in the team♌.

“I'm looking forward to these two races and having the chance to test myself in the World Sup✱erbike class, it's a big challenge as I'll have to learn a completely new motorcycle, but I'll take♑ things step by step.”

Jacobsen has thanked Triple M for its effort𝔍s in 2018 as he looks for a fresh start in next year.

“Thanks to the Triple M Honda World Superbike Team for gi🦹ving me the opportunity to compete in the WorldSBK championship this season,” Jacobsen said.

“We tried hard, but unfortunately things didn’t work out as we had planned so we agreed to go our separate ways. I wish them all the best for ꦫthe remainder of the season and the future.”
