Official: Camier heads to Barni Ducati for 2020

Leon Camier has officially joined the Barni Racing Team for ♊the 2020 World Superbike championship to get his first experience of the Ducati V4 R.

After an injury-hit🤡 campaign with the new-look Moriwaki Althea Honda squad, the British rider will leave the team and head to Barni for h꧒is maiden year competing on a Ducati.

The 33-year-old has a wealth of experience having previouᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚsly competed in the World Superbike championshiജp on Yamaha, Aprilia, Suzuki, BMW, MV Agusta and Honda machinery across his career.

After an injury-hit cam🐟paign with the new-look Moriwaki Althea Honda squad, the British rider will leave the team and head to Barni for his maiden year competing on a Ducati.

The 33-year-old has a wealth of experience having previously ꦬcompeted in the World Superbike championship on ♍Yamaha, Aprilia, Suzuki, BMW, MV Agusta and Honda machinery across his career.

But with ❀his last World Superbike podium appearance coming back in 2013, Camier is looking for a ▨fresh start with Barni Ducati.

“I am very much looking forward to the new challenge in the next season. I wil🎐l use all my riding and developmen𒈔t skills to achieve top level results together with Marco and his team,” Camier said. “They have a close relation to the factory, are a very passionate, engineering driven group with focus on results and I believe we will work well together.

“Having said that my focus now is first to finish the sℱeason as strong as possible in Qatar with my current team.”

“I am very proud for the agreement that we have ♑reached with Leon,  he has shown a high appreciation for our team and he is very motivated to join us,” Marco Barnabo, team principal, added. “We are aware that together we can achievꦇe good results.

“As every year we will have to work hard, but as always my crew will give their maximum efforts, and I want to thank them for what they hav🅷e done on the bike development so far. I also want to thank the sponsors who have supported us so far and who will be joining us in 2020 as well.”

Camier will make his Barni Ducati debut at next month’s two-day te൩st ꦺat Aragon on 13-14 November.
