The Pata Yamaha rider was the lone ri🏅der to break the 1m 50s barrier on day-one.
Michael Van Der Mark was first to crash in the afternoon at turn eight as his new M 1000 RR machine landed on top of the air fence. The crash resulted in a red flag. Chri💛stophe Ponsson was the other rider to suff𒀰er a crash in the closing stages.
It was a strong day for HRC with Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam secur🌳ing top five finishes aboard the Honda CBR1000RR-R machine.
Kawasakiඣ were the day’s early pace setters wi🥃th Alex Lowes fastest from six-time world champion Jonathan Rea, before the fast times rolled in with Razgatlioglu finishing ahead of Davies and fellow Yamaha rider Garrett Gerloff.
Tito R༺abat was quickest of the rookies in the opening session with 12th, one spot ahead of BMW rider Jonas Folger, however, it was Ducati rider Axel Bassani who took that honour in FP2 with ninth in the session.
Loris Cresson was slowest of the 23 riders and outside of the 107% rule during FP1, but the Belgiun had no suc𓂃h issues in FP2.
