After claiming his first ever WorldSBK podium at Assen three w🃏eeks ago, Andrea Locatelli made it two on the bounce during Most race one before collecting two fourth place finishes in Sunday’s double header. 

Along with team-mate Toprak Razgatlioglu’ impressive Most WoܫrldSBK weekend and 2021 season in general, Locatelli’s best weekend of the season has helped Yamaha move to the top of the m꧟anufacturers championship standings. 

The Italian was able to capitalise on Jonathan Rea crashing from third in race one, before running with the leaders during the ope🦩ning few laps of both the Superpole and race two. 

Pace wise, Locatelli didn’t q🌼uite have the consistency needed in orde🍎r to challenge the top three, however, the former Moto2 rider was clearly best of the rest as we approach the mid-season point. 

Locatelli added: "This has been our best weekend, because we made the podium and two fourth places – we also take some good points and this is important for the championship position because we are in eighth position and not so far 💟from P4, which is not so bad! 

"The feeling with the bike now is coming more and more easy. I can ride and I can push, and ꦰfor sure we now have a lot of races coming up where I think we can do very well. 

"We had a good test in Navarra, and after we go to Magny-Cours where I had a really good feeling last year, and also Barce♓lona, Jerez are such good tracks. 

"I think overall I have a little bit more exper﷽ience compared to the start of the season, and I can fight with the first group. I improve a lot and this weekend we are really happy, we didn’t make any mistakes and the team did a really good job. 

"I’m so happy with the whole team, 🦩we work so well together and the relationship is n🎀ice, like a small family and we aim to continue this way. Now, we will see for the next race!"
