A stunning 12th round of the 2021 WorldSBK season for Axel Bassan𒁃i has resulted in him claiming his best points haul𝓡 from an individual event this year.

The Italian rookie was fifth in race one, before securi𝔍ng back-to-back fourth place finishes during Sunday’s double header.

But while the results were impressive, the way in which he achieved them was even bett﷽er.

Bassani managed ไto battle with Toprak Razgatlioglu, Jonathan Rea and Scott Redding - the championship’s top 🤪three riders for much of the race, which included making overtakes on all three at different stages.

Bassani was unable to better any of them come the chequered flag, however, it was another demonstration of the talent the Ducat꧙i rider possesses ahead of what could be a big second year in 2022. &nbs𝐆p;

"It was an amazing weekend for me, and I had the possibility to learn a lot of things from the other rider༺s, in particular from Scott, Jonny and Toprak.

"They are🐎 the best riders in WorldSBK at the moment🐟 and it is incredible to stay with them.”

"At the 🔯start of the race, I tried to do the overtakes but it is very d😼ifficult but not impossible!

"Now I know that it is 💦possible, so I will try to replicate this result in the next ✤races.

"The target is the top f🔯ive and if it is possible, we’ll take a podium! It’s good that Indonesia is a new track for all, it is very important for 𝄹me. We will see what happens when we are there!"
