With David Nye sitting out the weekend after putting his Ford ꦜFocus up for sale, it was down to Welch to fly the flag alone in his NGTC-spec Proton although it wasn't an easy weekend on track as he dealt with the injuries sustained in his accident at Rockingham two weeks earlier.
