F4: Billy Monger thanks motorsport community for support in wake of crash

British Formula 4 racer Billy Monger took to Faceboo🎃k on Tuesday to post a thank-you message to the motorsport community and the medical crew that saved his life following his accident at Donington Park two weeks ago.
Monger, 17, lost both of his lower legs after hitting a slow-moving car at high speed during the F4 race that suꦅpported the British Touring Car Champi🌸onship.
Medica﷽l staff tookꦦ over 90 minutes to extract Monger from the car before transferring him by air ambulance to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he underwent surgery.
The motorsport c🤪ommunity quickly rallied around Monger, raising overꦑ ?750,000 to aid his rehabilitation and recovery in the wake of his life-changing accident.
In a post on his personal Facebook page on Tuesday, Monger thanked all of those who had aided and supported him followinꦑg the accident, making a special mention for his sister, Bonny.
"A huge thank you to each and every one of you!" Monger wrote. "Your kind words have given me and my family the strength to get through this past week⛎.
"The love and genero𓆏sity of our motorspor🌠t family, fans, and everyone that has supported me is awesome and truly inspirational.
