Reid in the thick of it at Silverstone.
In what can only be described as an eventful race day at Silverstone, WSR's Anthony Reid was right in the thick of the acꦐtion, particularly in the final race of the day.
Race three had seen Reid start from third on the grid in the MG ZS, though with the lack of Yvan Muller after the Frenchman had oil leakage issues on the♔ formation lap meant that Reid was right with the action and chall🅷enging Thompson for the lead.
In what Thompson believed t🦩o be too robust a challenge Reid fought through and made a decent gap from him and those following.

Then Matt Neal, who Reid had already 'encountered' in one of Saturﷺday's free practice sessions, reeled inಌ Reidy and the fun began.
Reid used his many years of race experience to ♌try his be🌊st to ensure that Neal in the Civic stayed behind him and fell into the clutches of the rapidly closing Tom Chilton.
This didn't work quite to plan when both Reid and Neal ended up off the track, with both drivers having strong feelings when leaving their cars at the end of the da🀅y.
"In race one I had a great start, but the ballast I was carrying made it difficult for me to mount a challenge," said Reid at the end of day. "The second race was better with a third place overall and an Independents win. I was leading the third race until Matt Neal ruined it for both of us, which was a🍃 disappointment.
"Summarising the weekend, I hadﷺ two independents trophy wins, two podiums and a fastest lap. This should leave me clearl🌠y in the lead for the Independents trophy and third in the drivers championship".
Watching all the action was team boss Dick Bennꦆetts, a man with many years' experience in motorsport. Bennetts reckoned there was plenty to be admired in Sunday's race action. "Good close hard racing! I think For꧒mula 1 should study the Touring Car regulations!" he said.
"The WSR MGs were def🧸initely at the sharp end of the field this weekend, which was proved in setting the fastest lap in two races by Ant♏hony and Colin. Two Independents Trophy wins, a third and second place overall shows that an overall win could not be too far away for the WSR MGs."
