- The various Formula 1 engineer manufacturers are divided on what the sport’s 🍌new engine for 2025 should be like.

According ♔to , Ferrari is in favour of a completely new engine which is reliant on CO2-neutral fuels. Red Bull wants a four-cylinder (V4) engine as the best way to cut costs, while Mercedes prefers to retain the current V6 engine - Renault agrees with the reigning world champions.

He told the : “We’re speaking to Formula 1 and they’re really receptive. The reality is that the reigning champion of the world is a Brit. Lewis Hamilton is a credit to our nation and the sport, and it would be great to have a Grand Prix in the capital city, to have Silverstone an🌃d London on the calendar.

“I think next year would be too soo🌼n but I’ve been really impressed with those at Formula 1 and I’m keen to bring it as soon as possible.”
